The White Cliffs of Dover was a very popular song composed in 1941 by Walter Kent. The Lyrics were originally written by Nat Burton. In 1942 Vera Lynn had come out with her version, which was a great hit and one of the most played recording during World War II.
The first idea is to set up a monthly walk of the Dame Vera Lynn Way and people asked to pay £1 to walk up and £1 to walk down. It is important to establish the exact length of the Walk and have enough volunteers to start the project.

Ideas on how to spend the money raised would be the next step.
1.) Ask DCR to be involved to play songs for the period of the walks.
2.) Have engraved paving stones set between the start and finish.
3.) On with side of the engraved paving stone, a quality edging stone with 4 solar lights.
